Adding Love to your Home <3

I’m typing this on my laptop in the car, so excuse the photos if they’re too bright or dark..it’s really hard to tell while editing in a car! We’re currently driving…I don’t know where!! We stayed in Jacksonville last night, and are on our way to our destination apparently, according to my hubby who planned our whole Valentine’s weekend surprise trip. Currently in Georgia, who knows what state is next!!  :)

I’m starting a new blog series, called HomeLove. It’s going to be all about ways to fill your home with love  :) A few months ago I remember telling David I really wanted our house to have a welcoming feeling (I looove have guests & friends over), full of love. Not that it didn’t then..but I wanted it to be even more, waaay more! Can a home have a lovey or love-filled feeling? I definitely think so  :) Time spent on details & decoration, meaningful pictures hanging up, touches of LOVE <3 Because our marriage is one of the most important things in David & I’s lives (second only to God), I am always trying to find ways to fill it with more joy, smiles & love. I think this series is going to be a good way to share that passion for true love & marriage I have!!  :)

For this first-ever blog post of HomeLove (not sure yet if it’ll be weekly or bi-weekly series), I’m sharing something VERY special. For our wedding, my Aunt Lisa gave us the most amazing gift that she had handmade. It had our wedding verses on it…as well as our anniversary, initials & wedding date. I couldn’t believe it!!! I just stood there speechless at how beautiful, special, intricate it was, when Lisa gave it to us. It’s one of my favorite things in our house  :) We’ve been meaning to hang it, but wanted it protected so it would last a loooong time, and custom framing is not cheap. Well, David surprised me this Christmas when he brought out this huge, flat gift..and I totally had NO idea what it was!! Then when I unwrapped it, it was like the best gift ever! I was so happy that’d we finally be able to hang it in our home. So, a couple weeks ago, we finally hung it up proudly by our entrance/living room area. It was a hard decision between putting in our bedroom or main area, but I wanted it to be where anyone could see it, as a testament to our marriage  <3

David’s frame choice…I like  :)

Isn’t it amazingly beautiful?? What a wonderful gift to recieve. Thank you SO MUCH Aunt Lisa!

Have a wonderful pre-Valentine’s day weekend  :)
