Something ADORABLE.

FILED IN: Family, Sneak Peeks

The past week and a half has been spent with computer problems. Last wednesday, just a few hours after I posted my last blog update, my computer froze. I was forced to turn it off, and when I tried turning it on it wouldn’t go past the Apple startup screen. Even after I left overnight telling it to get better (idle threats were involved), it did the same thing thursday. I spent much of the day trying to revive my poor laptop, troubleshooting, booting it up in safe mode, throwing it against the wall (jk), etc. Finally friday morning I went to the Apple store to find out my hard drive had crashed. Thank goodness for backups (2 external harddrive & an online backup I got just a month ago!). Saturday I bought a hard drive at Best Buy and David installed it for me that night. Though we were having some frustrating problems in the beginning, it finally worked! And when I got all the info from my external backup..my computer background even looked the exact same (AKA, cluttered!!). The only thing I lost were the last six photos I had edited, which I can totally re-edit…*relief.*

Then monday, I got in a computer calibrator that I’d ordered, to make sure my screen is showing the right colors & everything. I have spent every day since then trying to get that to work! It’s slow, says it can’t find the device…I’ve been on the phone with the company twice, now I am waiting for them to get back to me with what the problem is. I wanted to have my computer calibrated before doing any more editing…but have waited long enough! And, I don’t think I can resist holding these photos captive anymore…because this little girla is SOOOOO cute. Be prepared.  :)

Her family lives in Canada at my favorite camp, which I blogged about. Her older sister was one of the flower girls at my wedding. And her mom I absolutely love spending time with, as well as with her entire family! Shiloh is the youngest of three beautiful lil girls, and last time I saw her at my wedding (11 months ago today…I love you David!) she was just a few months old. When David & I were having lunch at camp with her family a couple weeks ago, she was sitting at the end of the table on a high chair, eating. David smiled at her…and this was pretty much her exact response:

David & I like choked on our food at the sudden unexpected change of how ADORABLE her smile/grin was!! We couldn’t get over it, or get enough of it! For the rest of the day, everytime she smiled I exclaimed (okay, squealed?) how cute she was.

Just looking at that picture makes me smile & feel happy! And thats why I picked it to blog today, to bring a smile to my face & help forget my week-long seemingly-non-stop computer troubles…and maybe, hopefully, to bring forth a smile & some extra JOY into your life too  :)
